Each season Vista Ridge hosts over 6000 visits from local grade 4-8 school children.

Always check the vista ridge information line (780 799 SNOW) to ensure your group is coming out.

Adverse weather conditions can result in postponements of ski days.

Ability Levels

Vista Ridge uses 4 levels to classify skier and snowboarder ability.  For safety reasons, it is important that the child is registered in the correct level

  • NE - Student has NEVER EVER Skied/Snowboarded before
  • 1 - Student has skied or snowboarded before.
  • 2 - Intermediate Skier - Student may ski in snowplow/parallel.  Student can Safely and Independantly ski down green runs (clearwater, christina) and has attempted blue runs.  If you have only skied on clearwater once or twice at the end of last season, its better to go into the level 1 group to get your ski-legs back.
  • 3 - Agressive skier.  Student skis Parallel at all times, can ski all green and blue runs confidently and independantly.
